Heinrich Lefler: Die Prinzessin und der Schweinehirt

Heinrich Lefler (7 November 1863, Vienna – 17 March 1919, Vienna) was an Austrian painter, graphic artist and stage designer. Die Prinzessin und der Schweinehirt is his first book illustration, published in Vienna in 1897. Few years before Lefler and Joseph Urban joined force to produce annual calendars and many of the most beautiful illustrated German books.

 Since there are reprints of the book available, we show the illustrations of an english reprint edition and some pictures of the original german edition.
