Giovanni Segantini, Tower "Belvedere" by Maloja
I admire Giovanni Segantini much! A great painter, great symbolist. Segantini
lived and worked at Maloja in the Upper Engadin/Switzerland. His studio in Maloja
can be visited and is a little and fine museum. Directly behind the Segantinistudio
it is the tower "Belvedere", a project that Segantini has designed for a count and
that never was terminated from financial problems. From the tower place there is
one marvelous view down in the Bergell valley to Chiavenna Italy.
Giovanni Segantini.

Each day one sketch in my holydays, I have promise me.
This I have done last year. This beautyful mountain you can see
by Maloja in the Upper Engadin. Draw near the Tower "Belvedere"
that Giovanni Segantini has designed. The church tower is in the lower
Bergell before Chiavenna in Italy. The mountain cabin by "Isola".
