Franz Stassen, 1869 - 1949. German artist and Illustrator.
He has illustrated the music of Richard Wagner.


Franz Stassen gehört zu jenen deutschen Künstlern
die noch von der Nazizeit einvernommen wurden.
Es finden sich nur sehr wenige seiner Werke im Web.
Sein Talent ist allerdings unbestritten. Bekannt wurde
er vor allem als Illustrator der musikalischen Werke
Richard Wagners.

Edmund Dulac by Sothebys

Edmund Dulac (1882-1953) illustrated 1914 "Sindbad the Sailor".
Now Sothebys auctions the watercolour "Sindbad the Sailor
entertains Sindbad the Landsman".
Estimate: $ 40,000 - 60,000
