MR. PICKWICK'S CHRISTMAS BY CHARLES DICKENS WITH ILLUSTRATIONS BY GEORGE ALFRED WILLIAMS

 George Alfred Williamsborn July 08, 1875 in Newark, New Jersey, died February 29, 1932, was an illustrator published in such magazines as Scribner'sHarper's, and St. Nicholas. He was also a well-known painter of small figures and landscapes.



As brick as bees, if not altogether as light as fairies, did the four Pickwickians assemble.

Then the old church bell rang...and they all returned to breakfast.

As he wended  his way up the acient street, he saw the cheerful light of thr blazing fires.


Gabriel started up, and stood rooted to the spot with astonishment and terror.





A rich and beautiful landscape was disclosed to view.

Went slowly and gravely down the slide, with his feet about a yard and a quarter apart.
