"Goodwives," said a hard-featured dame, "I tell ye a piece of my mind."
A crowed of eager and curious schoolboys
Illuminating...the dusky mirror
Hester seated herself on the bed
There dwelt, there trode, the feet of one
Children would creep nigh enough to behold her
Hester at her needle
A young maiden glancing at the scarlet letter
She saw the children disporting themselves
Governer Bellingham appeared to be showing off his Estate
Usually a vast favourite with children
Into the sunny day was thrust the face of Mistress Hibbins
Mr. Dimmesdale's flock
One day, leaning his forehead on his hand
To such an unanted remoteness
Good Father Wilson was moving homeward
A blazing spear...in the midnight sky
None so self-devoted as Hester
"It is our Hester"
She beheld the old physician in quest of roots and herb
The old dame in the chimney corner
"What does this sad little brook say, mother?"
The oid dame in the chimney corner
"What does this sad little brook say, mother?"
She beheld the minister advancing
"So, reverend Sir, you have made a visit into the forest,"observed the witch-lady
They were rough-looking desperados
With purpose to snatch a kiss
